Restoration

We like the satisfaction of sorting out windows or doors that have been left for a bit too long with out a sand down and a lick of paint.

  • Rotten door frames
  • Loose and perished putty
  • Flaky paint from years of bad painting onto dirt and extreme weather
  • Rotten window frames
  • Rotten sills
  • Rotten or badly flaking soffits and facias

By the nature of this work it is not really cheap but we think it is quite often more cost effective to repair than it is to replace with UPVC. Especially on older buildings that we think demand wooden windows and doors rather than metal or UPVC.

The move to new double glazed wooden windows is always an option. There are some really good window makers / carpenters around and large companies do a range.
